Company Overview
Docusign brings agreements to life. Over 1.5 million customers and more than a billion people in over 180 countries use Docusign solutions to accelerate the process of doing business and simplify people’s lives. With intelligent agreement management, Docusign unleashes business-critical data that is trapped inside of documents. Until now, these were disconnected from business systems of record, costing businesses time, money, and opportunity. Using Docusign’s Intelligent Agreement Management platform, companies can create, commit, and manage agreements with solutions created by the #1 company in e-signature and contract lifecycle management (CLM).
What you'll do
As an Engineering Manager (Platform Engineering) within Docusign’s Enterprise Applications organization, you will lead a high-impact engineering team responsible for building and evolving foundational platform capabilities that enable scalable, secure, and reliable systems across the enterprise. You will own the strategy and execution of platform engineering initiatives, including developer experience (DevEx), CI/CD automation, system integration patterns, access control frameworks, and observability. This role is focused on enabling engineering teams through shared services, reusable frameworks, and automation—not feature delivery. You will lead an autonomous engineering team in India, establishing durable platform capabilities that improve engineering velocity, system reliability, and long-term scalability across Docusign’s systems, including but not limited to Salesforce.
This position is a people manager role reporting to Director, GTM Engineering.
Responsibility
Define and execute platform engineering strategy across Enterprise Applications, focusing on scalability, reliability, security, and developer productivity
Own cross-platform capabilities such as CI/CD guardrails, DevEx tooling, access automation (e.g., JIT), observability, and system integration patterns
Establish and enforce engineering standards, architectural patterns, and platform controls across systems and team
Lead and grow a team of platform, Salesforce, and full-stack engineers, providing technical direction, mentorship, and career development
Build a high-performing, autonomous engineering team in India aligned to clear platform and system ownership boundaries
Drive accountability for engineering excellence, code quality, and system reliability
Oversee development of internal platform capabilities and tooling, including CI/CD pipelines, automation frameworks, and developer productivity solutions
Enable consistent, scalable engineering workflows across teams (Jira, GitHub, ServiceNow integration, and traceability)
Improve the developer experience by standardizing, automating, and reducing SDLC friction
Lead system design and architectural decisions across Salesforce and integrated systems, ensuring API-first, event-driven, and scalable patterns
Partner with architects and platform teams to define service boundaries, integration contracts, and data flows
Ensure solutions support high-volume, enterprise-scale workloads and evolving business needs
Drive platform hardening initiatives, including RBAC, access controls, and alignment with compliance standards (e.g., SOX, UAR)
Partner with the Security and Architecture teams to ensure adherence to enterprise standards and risk mitigation practices
Establish governance mechanisms that scale without blocking engineering velocity
Oversee delivery of platform and system initiatives, ensuring alignment with business priorities and technical strategy
Balance platform investment vs. feature delivery, ensuring the platform remains a horizontal enabler rather than a project intake team
Drive predictable execution through Agile practices, clear ownership, and measurable outcomes
Own platform reliability in production, including incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement of system health
Partner with Product, Support & Services, Martech, Integrations, and other Enterprise Applications teams to align platform capabilities with business needs
Collaborate with U.S.-based teams to ensure clear separation of concerns and complementary execution models
Influence the standardization of processes (e.g., CI/CD workflows, Jira practices) across teams
