Our Development Management Intern role is based in our New York City office and supports to all aspects of multifamily project execution. Associate will be responsible for administering and organizing aspects of complex development projects during entitlements, due diligence, design, construction, and lease-up. Ability to work with stakeholders to create achievable project schedules, track milestone dates, and meet project deadlines.

What You’ll Do

Predevelopment
- Provide administration and organizational support to the due diligence on prospective land or building acquisitions: including consultant scope and contract review; coordination with utility companies, city officials and 3rd party jurisdictional entities; invoice processing
- Assisting in preparing development schedules
- Review design drawings
Development Execution
- Provide administration and organizational support to the execution of development projects including, procurement and management of general contractor and project consultants, review of cost estimates, schedules, change orders and drawing coordination; attending weekly OAC meetings and tracking down critical issues
Project Accounting
- Coordinate timely submittal of monthly project debt/equity funding requests
- Variance analysis, contract tracking, budget adjustments, contingency tracking and forecasting of committed costs based on communication with the project manager.
- Monitor draw funding status and payment of corresponding disbursements to ensure payment deadlines are met
Work Environment & Travel
- Role is primarily in office with expected travel to job sites within the region
- Other duties may be assigned.
Education
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
- Candidate must be currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program majoring in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent.
Project Management Skills
- Ability to support multiple complex development projects
- Ability to work with multiple stakeholders to create achievable project schedules, track milestone dates, and meet project deadlines
- Ability to coordinate multiple consultants and synthesize information and report out status and key decision points to senior members
- Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex documents, including geotechnical and environmental reports, construction plans, engineering/architectural drawings, and venture documents
- Knowledge and understanding of construction practices/techniques, contract laws, project controls and building support systems

Trammell Crow Company carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The maximum hourly Salary is $70/HR. The minimum hourly salary is $20/HR. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
