We’re building something exciting in Kraków — a new Integrated Delivery Solutions team (IDS) and we are looking for a Senior Project Controls Specialist (Starszy Specjalista/ Starsza Specjalistka ds. Kontroli Projektów) to join the team.
The selected candidate will be employed by Ciritical Mission Services Sp. z o.o., part of Amentum.
About the Role
The Senior Project Controls Specialist plays a key role in supporting Project Teams in the successful delivery of projects. The role covers cost control, forecasting, project reporting, and controls governance, ensuring that project performance data is accurate, consistent, and aligned with internal standards and client expectations.
A key aspect of the role is the integration and alignment of project controls data between Amentum systems and consortium-level controls and billing processes, supporting accurate invoicing, reconciliation, and transparent financial reporting.
The Senior Project Controls Specialist may lead defined workstreams or project control activities within larger projects and have accountability for ongoing controls activities or performance objectives.
Key responsibilities:
Project Controls & Financial Management
Provide senior level project controls support to Project Managers across consortium projects
Own project budgets, cost forecasts, cash flow, and approved baselines within corporate systems
Lead cost control activities, including variance analysis, trend identification, and forecast to complete
Support change control by assessing financial impacts and aligning changes with consortium processes
Proactively identify risks, issues, and control gaps, providing structured analysis and recommendations
Consortium Coordination & Billing
Act as a primary interface with consortium Project Controls and Finance teams to ensure alignment of cost data, forecasts, and reporting
Support the preparation, validation, and reconciliation of consortium billing and invoicing
Coordinate period end close activities, including accruals, reconciliations, and variance explanations
Ensure cost data is transparent, traceable, and audit ready, supporting client, contractual, and reporting requirements
Systems, Reporting & Data & Analytics
Lead or coordinate project setup and governance within corporate project controls systems
Deliver accurate, timely project performance reporting with clear management insights
Develop, maintain, and enhance dashboards and visual reports (Power BI or similar tools)
Analyze cost, schedule, and performance data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities
Drive consistency and continuous improvement in reporting, KPIs, and data models
Collaboration & Leadership
Work closely with Finance, Commercial, Operations, Project, and consortium stakeholders to ensure data integrity and transparency
Act as a subject matter reference for junior project controls team members
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across project controls processes
Qualifications – External
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Controlling, Finance, Business, Applied Mathematics, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
Experience in finance, project controls, cost control, project management support, or related roles.
Experience in engineering, infrastructure, construction, energy, or consulting environments is advantageous.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, analysis, reporting).
Experience with project controls systems, cost tools, or ERP platforms is highly desirable.
Fluent English (B2 level or higher); Knowledge of Polish language is beneficial.
Strong expertise in project cost control, forecasting, and performance measurement
Experience coordinating controls, billing, and reporting across consortium partners
Analytical problem‑solver with the ability to apply integrated project controls methods
Proven ability to analyze project and financial data and translate insights into actions
Experience developing dashboards and reports (Power BI or similar tools)
Clear communicator, able to present complex data to diverse stakeholders
