Site Overview:
The GE Aerospace facility in McAllen is one of our centers of expertise specializing in the repair of engine components used in commercial and military aircraft. These include LPT Nozzles, HPT Nozzles, and HPT Hangars. You’ll find state-of-the-art technologies in CNC, EDM, and Coating as well as advanced technology development within our new Tech Lab!
Role Overview:
The Electrical Maintenance Engineer utilizes expertise in manufacturing processes to support business goals and programs for aircraft engine component repair. Requires strong foundation of functional skills and knowledge of relevant industrial automation technologies.
Role Responsibilities:
- Controls and Automation system; areas of interest are identified and resolve electrical issues and support automation systems
- Assist with system fabrication, equipment selection, and programming for automated systems
- Work closely with purchasing, engineering, quality, and EHS teams
- Develop and implement maintenance best practices to enhance team performance and skill development
- Troubleshoot and resolve faults for CNCs, robotic systems and other equipment with electronic devices
- Maintain automation system related drawings, process and BOM’s
- Provide all technical documents, including recommended spare parts and preventive maintenance schedule
- Knowledge in electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic schematics, analyzes prints, troubleshoots, determines material and component specifications
- Strong knowledge on Fanuc Programmable Machine Control (PMC)
- CNC programing knowledge and robotic basic programing skills
- Lead analytical and design activities using proven technologies, vested approaches, and methods
- Experience using multimeters, clamp meters, and voltage testers to measure voltage, current, and oscilloscope testing devices
- Lead and mentor automation technicians and electrical technicians
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma/GED with 15+ years of experience in troubleshooting, maintaining, and upgrading machinery)
- 10+ years of technical, production process, and equipment experience
- Able to support off shifts and weekends as needed

- Must pass background and drug screens
