Job Summary
The Senior Manager, Sales & Marketing, is responsible for providing strategic leadership and enterprise oversight for Sales and Marketing functions, ensuring alignment with TMCC policies, TFSC strategic priorities, and Toyota’s broader value chain. This role exists to drive sustainable growth, enhance dealer and customer experience, and maximize performance across finance and insurance products through effective strategy execution, operational discipline, and organizational leadership. Reporting to the Managing Director, this role is accountable for the end- to- end Sales and Marketing performance, setting clear strategic direction, establishing strong governance, and leading cross-functional collaboration to achieve measurable business results. As a JL 19 leader, this role exercises significant decision-making authority, influences enterprise priorities, and develops organizational capability to deliver world-class dealer experience and long-term value.
Primary Job Accountabilities:
1. Business Unit Leadership
• Establish and execute the strategic roadmap for Sales & Marketing, aligned with TFS strategy, Toyota value chain priorities, and local market dynamics.
• Drive achievement of sales performance metrics, financial objectives, and portfolio growth.
• Lead annual MTBP participation, translating strategy into actionable initiatives with clear success measures.
• Provide enterprise-level leadership through insight, influence, and decision-making to ensure alignment across stakeholders.
• Manage department budgets, including forecasting, planning, and variance management, ensuring financial discipline and compliance.
• Build consensus and alignment with key internal and external stakeholders, including distributors, service operations, wholesale, risk, and advertising partners.
• Represent TCPR externally within the dealer network, industry initiatives, and Toyota related forums, in alignment with Managing Director direction.
• Develop and sustain strong, ethical, and collaborative relationships across the dealer network at all organizational levels.
• Champion the One Toyota vision and ensure strategic initiatives reinforce enterprise priorities.
2. Sales Operations
• Lead execution of sales strategies and action plans to achieve finance market share, volume, insurance penetration, and dealer engagement objectives.
• Ensure Sales Managers and ASMs leverage data analytics and insights to improve sales effectiveness and consultative dealer engagements.
• Act as an escalation point and strategic advisor for complex or high-impact dealer transactions.
• Invest in team’s leadership capabilities through coaching, mentorship, and direct engagement, including regular travel with field teams.
• Champion best practices, standardized processes, and continuous improvement across sales operations.
• Ensure incentive and recognition programs (including TPP and dealer recognition initiatives) remain competitive and strategically aligned with business objectives and relationship-building goals.
3. Marketing & Business Development Operations
• Lead development and execution of integrated marketing strategies that strengthen TFS/LFS brand presence and drive incremental sales growth.
• In partnership with Service Operations, oversee customer loyalty and retention strategies to increase brand affinity and long-term value.
• Provide executive oversight of pricing governance, including APRs, incentives, and pricing committee operations, ensuring competitiveness and profitability.
• In partnership with Risk and enterprise stakeholders, oversee research, testing, piloting, and implementation of new products, services, and business models.
• Ensure marketing initiatives complement distributor and TDA efforts and deliver measurable ROI.
4. People Management
• Set the leadership tone and performance expectations for the organization.
• Build a high-performing, inclusive, and engaged culture aligned with Toyota values.
• Coach and develop leaders and team members, focusing on capability building, succession readiness, and accountability.
• Provide timely, constructive, and transparent feedback to drive development and performance.
• Partner with Human Resources to leverage Team Member Engagement Survey insights and improve engagement outcomes.
Knowledge and Skills:
Education
Required
- Four-Year College Degree (BA or BS)
Preferred
- Advanced Degree. Specify: MBA
Experience – Subject Matter Expertise
Required
- 10+ years of relevant / progressive work experience in the auto financing field
Licenses, Certifications & Specialized Skills (if applicable)
Required
- Bilingual communication skills (English & Spanish)
- Executive-level written, verbal, and presentation skills
- Demonstrated enterprise leadership and consultative selling expertise
- Strong strategic thinking, governance, and change management capabilities
- Financial acumen with solid understanding of analytics and performance metrics
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and external partners
- Deep understanding of retail dealership operations, finance, and insurance products
- Experience leading technology-enabled transformation initiatives
- Strong ability to articulate value propositions, identify opportunities, and close business

Additional Comments, Including Unique Circumstances
- This position requires traveling up to 40% of the time
- Work schedule: Monday-Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
