Job Description
The Finance Manager will be a part of the finance team supporting MedTech Supply Chain Digital, covering various projects to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our supply chain systems as well as the evolving supply chain structure and technology landscape.
The role will be responsible for providing financial controllership on multiple strategic projects including cost planning, budget management and reporting. This role will partner closely with the Program Management teams and others on planning, execution and financial management of the spend. They will consolidate, frame and deliver the financial outlook to the leadership teams. The individual will identify critical factors affecting program finances and evaluate potential options to deliver project spend under budget.
This is a critical and high visibility role with significant opportunities to present to management including Supply Chain Leadership Team, TranSCend Leadership Team and Finance Leadership Teams. The role requires a high level of motivation and confidence, and the ability to perform complex analysis under tight deadlines and with limited supervision. This individual must leverage a refined, multi-functional toolset of business expertise, technical knowledge, and digital acumen to effectively interact with a breadth of business stakeholders. The successful candidate must be able to engage and operate with the project team at an execution level, as well as with senior leadership at a strategic level. The leader will need to develop strong business partnerships across the project team.
This role will also be responsible for supervising one or more Senior Financial Analysts.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with cross functional team members to plan, identify and strategize Johnson & Johnson Projects/Program financial management
Track and communicate spend status across Projects/Program
Support value creation portion of the Change and Communication Efforts
Drive establishment and implementation of standard process for all Strategic Projects, including relevant templates and guidance
Partner with Program Management to establish integrated project plans / schedules / deliverables
Ensure projects’ timeliness and financial health are appropriately managed throughout the projects’ lifecycles
Develop and deliver project presentations for senior-level MT stakeholders to advise on historical and future project status
Supervise and develop Senior Financial Analysts on the team
Qualifications
Minimum of Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or MBA is highly desirable
Prefer a minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in leadership roles within finance , or large transformation programs.
Prefer strong knowledge of Medical Devices Supply Chain or Commercial Operations
Demonstrated hands-on project management/delivery preferred
Excellent interpersonal and negotiating skills, with proven ability to influence/collaborate to get to desired result
Prefer people management and development experience
Strong customer focus (internal & external), including development and management of stakeholders
Ability to effectively lead and govern cross-functional decision-making bodies is preferred
Knowledge in deploying standardized work processes, tools, and templates is preferred
Experience managing to project timelines and milestones in complex business environments preferred
Skilled at engaging and building relationships with senior business stakeholders required
Exceptional business and digital acumen, including ERP expertise preferred
Experience working in a complex, multi-ERP / system environment preferred
