As part of the Transcend finance team, the Finance Manager – Global Transformation MT Transcend will play a pivotal role in driving financial performance, business partnering, and value realization across the program. The Finance Manager will act as a key business partner for a portfolio of budget owners, supporting both controllership and strategic decision-making. The role will provide end-to-end financial leadership across project planning, forecasting, reporting, and value case management. The manager will focus on specific areas of the value case and partner with the finance organizations of the P&L owners to ensure alignment, transparency, and accountability for financial performance and value delivery.
Key Responsibilities
• Partner with assigned budget owners to lead financial planning, forecasting, and reporting for their respective project portfolios.
• Support the end-to-end project funding process, including preparation of Capital Appropriation Requests and ongoing funding updates.
• Maintain accurate and timely tracking of project costs, budgets, and forecasts, ensuring adherence to financial policies and compliance standards.
• Drive accountability and transparency by reviewing and challenging spending plans, identifying risks and opportunities, and developing corrective action plans.
Business Partnering and Insights
• Act as a trusted finance partner to project and functional leaders, providing analysis, insights, and recommendations that drive business decisions.
• Partner closely with business and finance counterparts across Supply Chain, Commercial, R&D, Quality, and Enterprise functions to support alignment on financial outcomes.
• Support the preparation of financial presentations, management updates, and scenario analyses to enable informed decision-making by leadership.
Value Realization and Performance Tracking
• Support the quantification, tracking, and reporting of value realization initiatives across specific areas of the value case (e.g., process efficiency, productivity, cost-to-serve, working capital).
• Partner with Strategic Planning and Project Operations, as well as the Digital Acceleration and Value Realization teams, to ensure alignment and visibility on key financial benefits.
• Analyze and communicate progress against value realization targets, ensuring financial results are reflected in business planning cycles.
Financial Reporting and Compliance
• Support month-end and quarter-end closing processes, ensuring proper recording of project-related transactions and intercompany charges.
• Ensure adherence to Johnson & Johnson financial policies, internal controls, and SOX requirements.
Collaboration and Ways of Working
• Collaborate closely with the Senior Financial Controller, the Finance director, and other members of the controlling team to drive financial excellence across the program.
• Foster strong partnerships with business leaders and finance stakeholders to ensure consistent communication and alignment.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and standardization of financial processes, tools, and templates across the Transcend program.
Development and Exposure
The role offers significant visibility to senior leadership, exposure to a global business transformation, and opportunities to build expertise in financial planning, analysis, and value management. The Finance Manager will gain experience working with diverse stakeholders across functions and regions, contributing to the success of a high-profile strategic initiative while developing capabilities for future leadership positions within Johnson & Johnson Finance.
Qualifications
• University Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, CMA, ACCA) preferred.
• Minimum of 6 years of relevant finance experience, ideally in FP&A, project finance, or business partnering roles.
• Experience supporting large-scale or transformation programs is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to connect financial outcomes to business performance.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills with the ability to partner effectively across all organizational levels.
• Strong business acumen, financial modeling capability, and proficiency with ERP and reporting systems (SAP and Excel preferred).
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and operate in a dynamic, matrixed environment.
• High integrity, accountability, and a collaborative mindset aligned with the Johnson & Johnson Credo.

The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan.
