WHAT: As a Business Planner, you will manage business processes, communications, and culture as we move into an exciting future. You'll leverage your strategic thinking to develop and implement plans ensuring the organizations capabilities align with the company’s long-term goals.
HOW: Supporting the organization and plants to make it happen for our customers.
What You’ll Do (Responsibilities):
- Support the ARC Directors in the organization and running of the business (staff meetings, special assignments, etc.) on a team of business planners
- Support the business planning strategy and internal business processes for the organization
- Track the execution of strategic initiatives versus the business plan. Analyze key operating metrics such as Manufacturing Cost Per Unit (MCPU)
- A strong understanding of the business landscape and the competitive environment is essential for making sound strategic decisions; external business knowledge and benchmarking
- Partner with key stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and increased efficiency
- Develop and conduct presentations for all levels of management
- Foster a forward-thinking work culture that embraces change and navigates future organizational and industry challenges
- Build and nurture strategic relationships across various functions including all ME Centers, ARC, manufacturing, engineering and program management to synergize efforts towards future innovations
Your Skills and Abilities (Required Qualifications):
- 3-6+ years of experience related to Manufacturing or Engineering processes, project management, or business operations
- Proven ability to articulate visionary concepts effectively and communicate professionally and concisely to all levels of leadership
- Demonstrated project and process management and prowess
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Self-starter and resourcefully independent
What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and metrics
- Experience related to vehicle manufacturing, vehicle assembly, robotics, automation, or GM launch processes
- Experiencing managing a budget including forecasting
Work Arrangement: This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Warren three times per week, at minimum. This role requires up to 10% domestic and international travel.
