Data & Salesforce Analyst
REPORTING TO: Chief Operating Officer
TYPE: Full Time (Non-Exempt)
RESPONSIBILITIES: This position plays a dual role in managing data analysis, reporting, and projects while also supporting the Salesforce platform that serves as the backbone of our organization. This role will work closely with client relationship teams, finance, sales, and operations to ensure data integrity, provide actionable insights, optimize system usage, and drive data-informed decision-making across the business. This position is responsible not only for maintaining and optimizing Salesforce functionality but also for transforming raw data into meaningful insights and dashboards that enhance the performance of our team members, increase operational efficiency, and inform strategic reviews and planning.
The job requires an outgoing, friendly, and professional personality with a keen attention to detail and ability to master the various computer software platforms and systems. The ideal candidate must be a self-starter, highly analytical, and interested in developing expertise at the intersection of CRM administration and data analytics. Success in this role requires curiosity, critical thinking, and the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for non-technical audiences.
DUTIES:
Data Management, Analysis & Reporting
- Monitor and maintain data quality, accuracy, and consistency
- Build and maintain reports and dashboards in Salesforce, Excel, and multiple internal software systems
- Analyze client, sales and operational data to identify trends and insights
- Support data-driven decision-making by delivering actionable recommendations
- Generate regular and ad hoc reports for leadership and stakeholders
- Translate business requirements and KPIs into meaningful dashboards and visualizations
- Assist with data audits and governance initiatives
Salesforce Administration
- Assist in the configuration, maintenance, and support of the Salesforce platform
- Create, maintain, and enhance custom objects, fields, page layouts, validation rules, and workflows
- Manage data imports, exports, and data cleansing activities
- Manage users, roles, profiles, and permission sets
- Monitor and maintain system integrations with other internal platforms
- Troubleshoot user issues and provide timely resolutions
Other Duties
- As needed, work across the organization to gather data and project requirements with the goal of improving processes and driving efficiencies
- Provide Salesforce, dashboard, and data-related training and support to end users
- Keep abreast of Salesforce releases and best practices
- Other duties may be added from time to time, so it is important to realize that this is a multifaceted role that requires an ability to be flexible and to meet the changing business environment
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2-4 years of experience in data analysis, Salesforce administration, or similar role
- Basic understanding of CRM systems (preferably Salesforce)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, macros, and data analysis)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems
Preferred
- Experience with advanced reporting tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau)
- Salesforce Administrator Certification (or working toward certification)
- Project management experience
