We are hiring an EMC Test Technician to work in Allen Park, MI.
This is a position for thosewith some knowledge and experience in automotive, either on the job or as a hobby. These functions are regularly performed test related activities that form the core of the responsibilities of this position.
Diagnostics and troubleshooting processes of failed test equipment, test instrumentation, and facility infrastructure
Stay up to date on the latest EMC test standards and develop updated or new test methods as required
Run tests, program test instrumentation and troubleshoot electrical problems
MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, AND /OR SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma
Associates Degree or equivalent in Electrical Technology or relevant discipline, and a minimum of two (2) years or more of relevant experience as an Electronic Technician
Knowledge of EMC or Ham Radio desired
Strong automotive knowledge
Strong Electrical background
Good instrumentation background
Good computer skills
Desired:
Automotive Certification a plus(ASE or State)
Experience in EMC laboratory operations and Reverberation test technology
Strong desire to develop EMC test knowledge/skills and participate in a EMC test organization
Experience in developing and interpreting component and/or vehicle level test specifications
Strong technical aptitude specifically in the area of electrical instrumentation and vehicle diagnostics
Knowledge of vehicle subsystems and their operation
Experience implementing standardized test planning and reporting tools
Diagnostic skills related to test system instrumentation and vehicle diagnostics, knowledge of CAN diagnostic and flashing tools (Canalyzer) a plus
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, (knowledge of LabView or other programming languages a plus)
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication (verbal and written) skills
Ability to handle multiple simultaneous tasks, and adjust to changing requirements
High energy, self-starter, with ability and desire to take responsibility and deliver results with minimal supervision.
Ability to work within diverse environments
High integrity with good attitude and works well with others (customer service mentality)
