THE WORK
- This individual is responsible for establishing and managing the key continuous improvement metrics, including developing strategies and business infrastructure to manage and report to senior leadership, program management, and finance.
- Role involves developing strategies to improve the producibility, efficiency, and quality of the product, and the processes that directly pertain, encompassing primarily one or more of the following lean manufacturing / manufacturing principles: industrial engineering, manufacturing equipment, process, product, quality assurance, reliability, supplier quality, Lean Six Sigma, test, and tool.
- Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions.

Manages the deployment and sustainment of the APEX continuous improvement system at Sikorsky, including the overall framework for 6S and Performance Management Team (PMT) activities across Operations.

Basic Qualifications:• Applicable candidates must hold a post secondary degree from an accredited university or equivalent experience combined with education.
• Candidate must hold more than 8+ years of professional career experience.
• Must possess prior change management experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Must hold a Green or Black belt certification or equivalent certification .
• Previous experience with Continuous Improvement.
Desired Skills:• Experience with deployment or implementation of 6S
• PROCI Change Management certification
• Strong background in RCCA
• JIRA or equivalent CI tool
• Previous experience in facilitating lean manufacturing tools, such as Value Stream Mapping (VSM) , Kaizen, 3P, and A3
• Developing strategies to manage and drive Continuous Improvement metrics across operations

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
