THE WORK This position is for a Senior Manufacturing Engineer working in the Aerostructures Manufacturing Engineering group FMC Product Center as a CNC Programmer/ME.
Candidate needs to have a strong CNC programing background as well as Manufacturing Engineering and processing background. Responsible for developing and writing programs for numerically controlled extrusion milling machines using engineering specifications and drawings.
Our team is responsible for ensuring that parts are machined accurately and efficiently, and that programs are optimized for production.
As a key member of our Aerostructures Engineer team, you will:
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to design and implement manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for part fabrication, processing, and assembly.
• Drive adoption of emerging technologies (automation, robotics, CAM software) to boost efficiency, cut costs, and improve quality.
• Create and analyze 3 D model data to optimize manufacturing workflows and generate digital work instructions.
• Define operation procedures and build machining sequences based on material knowledge and automated processes.
• Evaluate equipment and tooling performance, conduct root cause analysis, and initiate corrective actions to maintain operational excellence.
• Develop statistical process control (SPC) methods and integrate reporting/analytics solutions for continuous improvement.
• Provide design feedback to product engineers, recommending specifications and manufacturing techniques that leverage existing equipment capabilities.
WHO YOU ARE You are a highly motivated and creative engineer with a strong foundation in CNC and systems like CATIA V5/V6, and experienced in designing metallic and composite structures. You are a detail-oriented and innovative problem-solver, with excellent communication and teamwork skills, and proficient in a range of technical tools.

Basic Qualifications:• Bachelors degree from an accredited college
• 3 or more years of experience in engineering
• Experience in manufacturing
Desired Skills:• 3 or more years of experience work with CNC Programmer/Manufacturing Engineer
• Experience in Mastercam, CATIA V5, and model based designs
• Experience with Solid Works or CAD/CAM
• Master’s degree from an accredited college

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
