What You Will Do -
- As Senior Project Manager, reporting to the Business Lead you will become a key part of the Fire Suppression business unit.
- Play a key role in developing and scaling a new, high-growth channel for the Johnson Controls Fire Suppression brand.
- Lead with a customer-first mindset, combining strong leadership with commercial acumen while holding full commercial and operational responsibility for multiple projects
- Take a strategic role in shaping the growth and future direction of the channel
- Support the Sales team to deliver growth strategy and secure priority “must-win” contracts
- Work closely with technical experts to ensure operational excellence and high-quality delivery
- Build and lead a team of Project Managers as the business continues to expand.
How You Will Do It-
- Based in the Manchester office with regular travel to sites across the UK
- Partner with the Head of Projects and operational leaders to review and improve departmental objectives
- Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships to ensure high standards of delivery and management excellence
- Lead the recruitment, management, and development of Project Managers
- Plan, schedule, and manage work in hand to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to agreed quality standards
- Monitor and analyze departmental performance to ensure productivity and performance targets are met
- Implement project execution procedures and ensure timely communication and adherence to best practice
- Identify, record, and escalate defects or specification deviations to the Head of Projects
- Support continuous development of direct reports through strong leadership and performance management
Essential
What we look for-
- Proven experience in a senior project management role within a technical or construction environment
- Experience in the fire sprinkler industry
- LPCB Basic Qualification and FHC as a minimum requirement
- Experience delivering large, multi-trade projects with Tier 1 and Tier 2 contractors
- Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation, industry codes, and standards
- Valid Driving License
- Current SMSTS, CSCS, and other relevant industry certifications
- Suitable for an experienced Project Manager ready to take the next step into a senior role.
