Job Title: Services Development Manager
Salary/Grade: £88,251- £110,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Location: Peterborough

The opportunity
We are hiring a Services Development Manager to lead the testing and execution of new service models in the market for specified Industry Groups. You will lead a team to turn ideas into pilots that demonstrate customer value.
In this role, you will build the capabilities to deploy electrification services at customer sites. You will use clear data and simple stories to win support and when needed, help decide when projects should proceed or not. You will keep projects and work on track meeting key milestones and make sure our sales teams and process partners know what to expect and when.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys solving complex customer problems.
What you will do:
Lead Service design thinking that will lead to us solving our customers’ biggest problems. Build our capability to make the electrification of sites a reality.
Run projects and experiments in the real world to test economics and value. Learn quickly and develop proposals for whether to move forward, change direction or stop with specific projects.
Lead change, use data to tell the story, persuade sponsors and define success.
Collaborate and influence across the enterprise. Help your team to remove barriers, provide clear updates and enable project delivery at pace.
Lead and develop your team; set expectations, coach well and recognise good work.
Ensure customers & dealers receive a consistent experience.
What you have:
Problem Solving:
Demonstrable proactive, self‑starting approach with a strong aptitude for problem‑solving.
Proven experience solving complex customer problems with urgency.
The ability to anticipate, communicate and resolve problems before they create barriers to progression.
Products and Services:
Knowledge of services and the ability to apply and adapt the knowledge of products and services to diverse situations.
Able to monitor compliance & regulatory requirements to ensure compliant services are deployed.
Effective Communications:
Communicate with a sense of urgency to solve problems and meet customer needs.
Develop communication tools to align teams on work priorities.
Effectively communicate, receive feedback and accurately interpret required actions to complete tasks or meet milestones
Ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels across the business.
Tactical & Strategic Planning:
Proven ability to use effective planning techniques to contribute to operational, tactical and strategic planning.
Demonstrated capability to develop, refine and communicate plans providing the right level of detail to deliver complex projects.
Top candidates will also have:
Proven experience leading and managing diverse teams, providing day‑to‑day guidance, support and motivation to drive performance and team engagement.
Experience in energy, power, construction or related industrial settings; experience working with dealer networks.
