Job Summary:
As Control Systems Engineer, you will design and validate high-quality End to End Telematics systems and software features for Advanced Power Technology Site Connectivity clients & customers. We work with Oil & Gas, Marine, Electric Power, Industrial Engines, and Rail customers. You will participate in the concept and design of complex Digital Information Systems projects to deliver data from assets to back-office providing customer value and increasing site performance, durability, quality, and serviceability.
Responsibilities:
- Documenting market requirements
- Collaborating with internal customers and team members to develop software specifications
- Translating market requirements into technical specifications
- Creating test procedures
- Testing Telematics systems
- Troubleshooting system issues
- Creating User and Technical documentation, Application & Installation guides, and training videos/documents.
- Test Automation scripting (Python).
- Harness creation, test bench setup, and execution.
- Field installation and troubleshooting.
- Participation in New Product Introduction (NPI), Continuous Product Improvement (CPI), and Built-in Quality (BIQ).
Degree Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in an accredited Engineering or Computer Science curriculum.
- Advanced English-speaking level.

- Excellent communication skills. Ability to work with multiple customers in various service industries.
Product Testing
- Knowledge of Software or systems testing and Design development processes.

- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and ability to perform using the corporate Agile methodology.
- Working knowledge using Azure DevOps.
- Linux Operating system experience.
- Excellent organization, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Desire to work in a team environment.
- Excellent communication skills. Ability to work with multiple customers in various service industries.
- Working knowledge using Industrial Protocols. Modbus, Allen Bradley Controller Tags. Siemens S7.
- Working knowledge with TCP/IP, Cat Datalink, J1939, RS485.
- Strong commercial, business, engineering, telematics skills
- Knowledge of Hardware in the Loop Testing. Including DSPACE and FAST hardware systems.
- An understanding of product test & development, Caterpillar NPI Process
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Working knowledge of Caterpillar engines and Industrial Products
- Working knowledge of Industrial Datalinks and SCADA systems.
- Working knowledge of PC tools such as Visio, MSOffice.
- Working knowledge of Diagnostic and Event systems
- Working knowledge of Service tools, Canalyzer, CadetWin, ModSim, ModScan, Cat Electronic Technician, WireShark, PuTTY, SuperComm II, Matlab, Vector based development tools and displays.

The location for this position is Monterrey, MX.
