Raytheon's Air and Space Defense Systems (ASDS) is seeking a skilled and motivated Software Engineer to take on the challenge of Product Manager. The Product Manager plays a critical role in ensuring that the product delivers maximum value while maintaining alignment with the overall business and technical strategies. This position is onsite based in Richardson TX.
What You Will Do

Define the Product Vision and Roadmap: The Product Manager is responsible for creating and communicating the product vision, strategy, and roadmap that align with the organization's strategic goals and customer needs.

Prioritize the Program Backlog: Managing and prioritizing the Program Backlog to ensure the Agile Release Train (ART) delivers maximum value to customers and stakeholders.

Understand the Customer Needs: Engaging with customers, stakeholders, and the market to gather feedback, understand needs, and translate them into features and capabilities.

Collaborate with Stakeholders: Working closely with Business Owners, Product Owners, System Architects, and other key stakeholders to ensure alignment on priorities and objectives.

Defining Features and Acceptance Criteria: Writing and refining features, including defining their acceptance criteria to ensure clarity for the Agile teams.

Participate in Program Increment (PI) Planning: Collaborating with teams during PI Planning to communicate priorities, ensure alignment, and support the creation of team plans.

Validate Delivered Solutions: Ensuring that the solutions delivered by the Agile Release Train meet customer expectations and deliver the intended value.

Drive Innovation and Market Competitiveness: Continuously assessing market trends, competitor offerings, and technological advancements to ensure the product remains competitive and innovative.

Facilitate Cross-Functional Collaboration: Acting as a bridge between development, marketing, sales, and other departments to ensure product success.

Track Metrics and Outcomes: Measuring product performance and value delivery through key metrics to inform future decisions and improvements.
Qualifications You Must Have
-
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.

Experience capturing and documenting customer needs/requirements and mission priorities.

Experience translating customer requirements into a vision, roadmap, and feature definition, and translating these into work plans and communicating with IPT-L, RTE, CAM and ART leadership (POSM).

Experience with SAFe Agile PI Planning.

Experience managing Program Backlog and ensuring feature readiness for PI execution.

Active and transferable Top Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI prior to start date. U.S. Citizenship is required as only U.S. Citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer

SAFe POPM, APM, or related Agile certifications.

Proven ability to collaborate with architects/engineering, including understanding enablers and Architectural Runway.

Experience driving and participating in System Demos, Inspect & Adapt, and metrics evaluation.

Proven experience with decision-making as it relates to tasking prioritization.

Jira backlog management experience, including creation and maintenance of dashboards and filters.

Proven ability to summarize highly complex design concerns, operational and development discrepancies and status to IPT-L and other senior leadership including Customer reps.

Proven ability to understand and manage work associated with highly advanced algorithms.

Advanced time management and Multi-tasking efficiency.

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
