Machine Shop/Assembly Counter -1st Shift
Location: Lafayette, Indiana

The Large Power Systems Division in Lafayette, IN currently has an opening for a Machine Shop/Assembly Counter. In this role you will be responsible for counting production parts including but not limited to large engine components and purchased finished parts. The primary focus for the Machine Shop/Assembly Counter will be to maintain inventory accuracy for the Lafayette Engine Facility.
Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Counting of production parts to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Help reconcilers determine root cause for discrepancies.
- Proper workload management to meet corporate timelines.
- Utilizing computer system to input count results and adjustments.
Basic Qualifications:
- Must possess good organizational skills and the ability to analyze complex flow paths.
- Must have good written and oral communication skills.
- Self-motivated, safety-conscious individual capable of working independently.
- Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office applications.
Top Candidates will also:
- Be flexible to work overtime as needed to support production demands.
- Possess and show strong interpersonal skills and apply customer-based focus.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 40 lbs.
- Must be able to bend and twist at the waist and be able to squat.
- Consistent usage of required PPE for task being performed
- Must be able to walk for extended periods of time.

- Location of this position is in Lafayette, IN
- Position available is on 1st shift (6:30am – 2:30pm)

Summary Pay Range:
$23.33 - $30.33
