Description:We are Lockheed MartinThis position is for a Flight Test Control Engineer Mod Team Lead to support flight test modifications and configuration management for F-16 Developmental and Operational Test programs at Eglin AFB, FL. The successful applicant will provide flight test aircraft modification and ground operations engineering support. Tasks will include directing aircraft modifications, coordination and execution of engineering directed tasks to include ground test, maintenance on test unique hardware, and other mod related tasks. Position requires control and tracking of aircraft configuration, coordinating and staging of support equipment, developing and maintaining aircraft test schedules, and coordinating with other organizations associated with test readiness.
The successful applicant will team with USAF, contractor, and civil service engineers and maintainers as part of an integrated test team. The flight test control engineer will apply extensive technical expertise to develop solutions to complex problems in support of technical planning, system integration, and modification of unique flight test aircraft. The successful applicant will provide flight test control engineering for flight and ground operations, serving as the focal point between aircraft maintenance and engineering to coordinate maintenance and logistics support, ensure correct aircraft configurations, and assist in aircraft anomaly resolution.
The flight test control engineer will represent the organization as the prime technical contact for F-16 modifications for the Test and Evaluation directorate. The applicant will interact with senior external personnel on significant technical matters requiring extensive coordination between multiple organizations. Above average oral and written communication skills are required. Exceptional planning and coordinating skills are also required.
**Alternate shift, overtime, travel and weekend work may be required to support mission & staffing needs.
**Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.**

Basic Qualifications:Fighter aircraft configuration management, sustainment, maintenance, or production experience.
Experience in USAF maintenance activities and procedures, and T-2 modification processes.
- Experience with flight test of military aircraft
- Experience with completing modifications of avionics/mission systems and/or vehicle/utility systems
- Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings
Active/Current Secret security clearance
Desired Skills:Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
Experience with maintenance/configuration management of F-16 avionics systems.
Experience with flight test aircraft modifications/configuration management.
Working knowledge of technical orders, military flight operations, and maintenance concepts.
Specific knowledge of F-16 avionics/mission systems, and vehicle/utility systems.
Fault isolation and/or problem analysis at the subsystem level.
Experience performing aircraft modifications / familiarity with USAF T-2 modification process.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Exceptional planning and coordinating skills.
Ability to effectively collaborate and communicate complex issues with a variety of stakeholders.
Active/Current Secret security clearance

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.
