Amentum is seeking an experienced HVAC Technician III to join our team in Robinson Township, PA. In this role, you will help maintain the operational performance of our buildings, facilities, and equipment. This is a hands-on position that requires mechanical expertise, the ability to troubleshoot systems, and a commitment to safety and teamwork.
Typical work schedule is 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, hours may vary based on business demand. Additional hours may be required to support our 24/7 operation.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform a wide range of maintenance tasks, including HVAC system maintenance and repair, electrical work, plumbing, welding, carpentry, painting, masonry, and general mechanical upkeep.
Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain critical facility systems such as plumbing, steam/hot water boilers, air handling units, pumps, compressors, air dryers, and exhaust systems.
Conduct preventative maintenance, modifications, and repairs on buildings, fixtures, equipment, and systems.
Review service requests, identify issues, recommend solutions, and complete tasks efficiently following maintenance schedules.
Lead and direct daily work operations, including assigning, monitoring, and reviewing tasks for ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
Serve as a resource for resolving complex mechanical problems and provide guidance to team members.
Oversee and coordinate work performed by external contractors and ensure compliance with building codes and safety standards.
Assist with furniture, equipment, and material movement as needed for operations.
Perform all tasks in accordance with established safety policies and procedures.
Respond to dispatched service requests and collaborate within a team to address pressing facility needs.
Complete other position-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent experience.
3+ years of experience in mechanical maintenance, HVAC systems, or plumbing.
Hands-on expertise in maintaining and repairing mechanical building systems, including plumbing, boilers, HVAC, air handling units, pumps, compressors, air dryers, and exhaust systems.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Ability to analyze issues, troubleshoot mechanical systems, and identify effective repair solutions.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional and customer-focused outlook.
Understanding and adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions.
Commitment to safety policies and proper practices during maintenance tasks.

Must hold a valid Driver’s License.
Ability to pass a pre-employment substance abuse screening.
Must be able to obtain a security access badge at the client’s site.
Flexible schedule, with occasional shifts, overtime, and weekends as necessary.
Physical Requirements:
Lift up to 50 lbs. regularly.
Climb ladders or stairs and work at heights from aerial lifts.
Bend, stoop, squat, and walk throughout the facility during shifts.
Work in confined spaces while adhering to safety protocols.
Identify wire color-coding.
Comfortably interact with clients in any environment, maintaining professionalism under pressure.
Special Requirements:
Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (e.g., steel-toed safety boots, safety glasses, gloves, hard hats, and arc-flash suits).
Compensation Details:
$33.00 - $35.00
