Work You’ll Do
Lead strategic financial management of the Firm's Sustainability fund including overseeing investment activities, and other analyses and reporting of financials to Senior Management. Track investment performance against strategy and evaluating return on investment. Understand actual performance against forecast. Look for efficiencies and synergies in the financial management process. Help execute and oversee various special projects involving strategy development, analysis and planning for achieving business growth, performing market entry and/or expansion, and developing other strategic initiatives related to clients, services, industry programs, talent, and international collaboration. Work with Senior Management to achieve and sustain superior overall performance. Oversee complex projects with multiple work streams and geographically distributed resources including off-shore contingent. Develop and apply appropriate methodologies for market segmentation and sizing, drive market trend and competitive landscape analysis, portfolio analysis, business modeling, financial modeling, and operational analysis. Synthesize results of quantitative and qualitative research and analysis into implications, key trends and/or recommendations. Develop content for executive-level presentations and reports to communicate and achieve buy-in for strategic recommendations. Develop content for and facilitate executive workshops and working sessions. Act as a counselor and coach to lower-level staff members and provide guidance in staff recruitment and retention activities.
Requirements
Employer will accept a Master’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Management, Finance, Accounting or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus three (3) years of experience as a Manager, Strategic Services or related occupation gaining company valuations and financial modeling experience. In the alternative, the employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree plus five (5) years of experience as stated above.
Position requires three (3) years of:
- performing business valuations and due diligence for mergers and acquisitions, common stock, tax purposes, and management planning purposes;
- reviewing and supporting valuations performed by appraisers;
- performing financial modeling to optimize the flexibility of business modeling projections, and providing independent opinion on the reliability of models;
- evaluating and verifying financial models by evaluating the quality of model construction, formulas, and logical structure, and correcting errors;
- utilizing Excel and VBA to formulate complex financial models and performing private company valuation for tax planning and compliance purposes;
- performing research and valuations using Bloomberg, IBISWorld, Thomson Research, and Capital IQ databases to collect information on publicly traded companies, market parameters and comparable transactions;
- building and implementing an evaluation process to yield higher efficiency in evaluation projects; and
- interfacing with client financial managers and executives, accounting professionals, and external counsel throughout the valuation process.

Annual Salary: $139,400.00 - $232,300.00.
