About the Role: As a CBRE Sr Facilities Manager, you will manage many functions of building operations and maintenance for a facility, campus, or portfolio of buildings.
This job is a part of the Facilities Management functional area which focuses on all aspects of the operations of a set of assets, providing support to the Property Managers regarding all repairs and investment plans.
What You'll Do:
Will
Coordinate and manage the site daily activities at 4 sites - Home office in Elgin , 1 in Winnetka, 1 in Downtown Chicago 1 in Milwaukie, WI.
Local Travel approximately 50 - 60 % (Mileage reimbursement if you choose to use your own vehicle or a rental car can be expensed)
Will create and manage the budget.
Oversite, coordination and management of facility repairs and maintenance by working with technicians, vendors, and contractors.
Maintain positive client relationships with C Suite and Executives as well as conduct meetings on unresolved facility issues.
Prepare and manage moderate to mid-sized projects, operating budgets, and variance reports.
Perform facility inspections quality assurance following local, state, and federal regulations. Suggest and implement operational efficiencies, repairs, and upgrade opportunities.
Create environmental health and safety procedures for facilities.
Develop vendor relationships and oversee invoicing procedures. Review and approve purchase orders for the procurement of parts, services, and labor for projects.
Apply a broad knowledge of the business, own discipline, and how own discipline integrates with others to achieve team and departmental objectives.
Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Influence others to adopt a different point of view while being guided by policies and departmental plans.
Identify and solve technical and operational problems of complexity.
Understand and recognize the broader impact across the department.
Improve and change existing methods, processes, and standards within job discipline.
What You'll Need:
Valid driver's license required.
Facility Management certification preferred. (FMP)
Property Management background helpful.
Strong soft skills/communication skills to interface with C-suite clients on-site.
Prefer someone with people management and creation and oversight of financials and budgets.
Bachelor's Degree preferred with 10+ years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
Prefer budget creation and analysis experience.
Prefer management of quarterly business review process.
Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention is preferred.
Ability to lead the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and handle problems.
Leadership skills to motivate the team to achieve broad operational targets.
In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
Must be computer we use multiple systems Savvy Prism W/O system
Extensive organizational skills and an advanced inquisitive mindset.
Intermediate math skills. Ability to calculate complicated figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Sr Facilities Manager position is $125,000 annually and the maximum salary for the Sr Facilities Manager position is $135,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program.
