Job Summary:
Coordinates facilities changes and improvements; maintains relationships with various suppliers and vendors of services provided to the facility; communicates changes and improvements to affected facility occupants. Performs activities under moderate supervision.
We are looking for a talented Facilities Associate to join our Distribution business in (Elko, NV).
Will make an impact in the following ways:
- Coordinate facility changes, repairs, and operational improvements
- Support day-to-day operations for parts and service teams supporting remote customers
- Perform urgent parts and tooling deliveries to customer sites
- Coordinate and complete non-stock parts pick up activities
- Support building maintenance and facility upkeep activities
- Perform HSE-related tasks and maintain compliance with safety requirements
- Assist with general branch clean up and operational organization
- Support excessive sized inventory movement and material handling activities
- Manage inventory activities across 3 remote stocking locations
- Perform assorted operational duties as business needs arise to help expedite operations
- Participate in parts call-out rotation (one week per month)
- Coordinate vendors, contractors, and service providers for facility-related work
- Assist with budgeting, purchase orders, and operational planning activities
- Participate in emergency preparedness, maintenance coordination, and continuous improvement activities
- Communicate facility and operational updates to affected employees and stakeholders
In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Strong coordination and organizational skills in a fast-paced operational environment
- Experience supporting facility operations, logistics, inventory, or branch operations activities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond with urgency to business needs
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to coordinate effectively with vendors, contractors, and internal teams
- Basic understanding of facility maintenance, inventory management, and operational support processes
- Willingness to perform indoor and outdoor duties in varying weather conditions
- MSHA training required or ability to obtain certification
- DOT medical card required for operation of vehicles between 10,000–26,000 GVWR
- Ability to safely operate vehicles and support material movement activities
- Proficiency with basic computer systems and operational documentation
This position will primarily assist the operations of our parts and service teams in the logistics of supporting our remote customers in a variety of capacities dictated by day-to-day business to include some of the following
- Urgent parts/tooling deliveries to site
- Nonstock parts pick up
- Building maintenance
- HSE related tasks
- General branch clean up
- Excessive sized inventory movement
- Inventory management at 3 remote stocking locations
- Assorted other duties as needs arise in the effort to expedite business
- Member of parts call out rotation (one week per month)
- MSHA training required
- DOT medical card holder (operation of vehicles 10,000-26,000 GVWR)
- Occasional duties outdoors exposed to weather
Education, Licenses, Certifications:
High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
Experience:
Requires some work experience or intermediate level knowledge obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.
