Overview
The
Account Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily janitorial operations at assigned client site(s), ensuring cleanliness standards, safety compliance, and customer satisfaction are consistently met. This role provides direct supervision to frontline staff, supports staffing and scheduling, and serves as the primary onsite point of contact between operations leadership and the client.
Pay: $21.00/hour
The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on the applicant’s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.
401(k) – You become eligible to make personal contributions beginning the first of the month following 30 days of employment. Responsibilities
- Supervise day‑to‑day janitorial operations to ensure contract specifications and service level agreements are met
- Lead, train, and supervise janitorial staff; provide coaching, corrective action, and performance feedback as needed
- Create and manage employee schedules, ensuring adequate coverage for all shifts and special needs
- Conduct regular facility inspections to ensure quality, safety, and sanitation standards are maintained
- Address and resolve operational issues, employee concerns, and service requests promptly and professionally
- Assist with onboarding, training, and ongoing development of team members
- Monitor timekeeping, attendance, and payroll accuracy
- Manage inventory of supplies and equipment; place orders as needed and control costs
- Ensure compliance with company policies, OSHA regulations, and client site requirements
- Support special projects, events, and deep‑cleaning initiatives
- Communicate effectively with Operations Managers and clients regarding performance, staffing, and service needs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education preferred
- 2+ years of supervisory experience in janitorial, custodial, or facilities services
- Strong leadership and people‑management skills
- Knowledge of cleaning methods, equipment, chemicals, and safety practices
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Proficient in basic computer applications (email, scheduling, timekeeping systems)
- Flexible schedule; may require evenings, weekends, or holidays
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting contract or multi‑site janitorial operations
- OSHA certification or safety training
- Bilingual abilities (preferred but not required)
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25–50 lbs as needed
- Ability to perform facility inspections and demonstrate cleaning techniques
