The Opportunity:
This is an opportunity to work in a senior technical role supporting secure, enterprise scale environments in a highly regulated setting. You will be responsible for maintaining and improving critical platforms across networking, servers, storage and backup technologies, while contributing to operational resilience, security and ongoing infrastructure improvement initiatives. The role offers broad exposure across enterprise technologies and the opportunity to work on complex technical challenges and high impact operational outcomes.
This is a permanent full-time opportunity and must be based in Canberra.
The successful candidate must hold a Baseline security clearance or higher.
Responsibilities:
- Support and maintain enterprise infrastructure across networking, servers, storage and backup platforms
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure and connectivity issues
- Administer secure network environments including firewalls, routing, switching and remote access
- Support VMware, Windows and Linux environments across physical and virtual infrastructure
- Perform patching, upgrades, monitoring, maintenance and operational health checks
- Manage backup, recovery and storage platforms including SAN and NAS technologies
- Contribute to incident, change and disaster recovery processes
- Work closely with internal teams, vendors and stakeholders to deliver reliable operational outcomes
- Provide technical guidance and support to other engineers where required
As the ideal candidate you will bring:
- Baseline security clearance
- Proven experience in senior infrastructure engineering or operations roles
- Strong hands on experience across networking, server, storage and backup technologies
- Experience supporting enterprise environments across Windows, Linux and VMware
- Strong knowledge of routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs and network security
- Experience troubleshooting complex infrastructure and operational issues
- Knowledge of enterprise storage and backup technologies including SAN and NAS
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work across technical and non-technical teams
- Experience working in regulated, government or defence environments highly regarded
- Exposure to technologies such as Palo Alto, Cisco, Meraki, NetApp, Rubrik or F5 highly regarded
