Position Summary
The Manager, Healthcare Quality Project Management is a strategic leadership role responsible for supporting the Social Risk Factor (SRF) cohort and Health Equity Index (HEI) initiatives for the Medicare Advantage and Special Needs Plan (SNP) Quality Management teams. This role plays a critical part in advancing Aetna’s continued expansion across Chronic Condition SNP (CSNP), Dual-Eligible SNP (DSNP), and Institutional SNP (ISNP) products.
The successful candidate will support the Quality Remediation Strategy by driving goals and initiatives within Medicare measure workgroups, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements while integrating SRF and HEI objectives. This individual will function as a subject matter expert (SME) across multiple workgroups and serve as a key liaison to internal SRF and HEI teams. Strong collaboration, analytical insight, and project management discipline are essential to success in this role.
This is a remote position working from a home office.
Key Responsibilities
• Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for CSNP, DSNP, and ISNP products, as well as SRF and HEI programs, influencing quality performance strategies across multiple business areas and functions.
• Leverage SME expertise to manage healthcare quality projects, performance improvement initiatives, and strategic priorities through disciplined project management practices.
• Support decision-making related to the design, development, prioritization, implementation, and evaluation of quality improvement initiatives, including HEDIS, aligned with enterprise strategy, regulatory requirements, and Medicare/Duals/SRF-HEI business goals.
• Analyze key performance data and reporting to identify trends, assess root causes, and inform data-driven business decisions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to drive results, including forming and leading virtual and matrixed teams.
• Effectively communicate and disseminate information across teams and business units to support alignment and improve business performance.
Required Qualifications
• 3+ years of progressive experience working with HEDIS measures.
• 5+ years of project management experience, preferably in healthcare quality or regulatory environments.
• Demonstrated success in a metrics-driven and deadline-focused environment.
• Proven ability to plan, prioritize, and execute multiple, concurrent business objectives.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Preferred Qualifications
• Professional certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP), Six Sigma Black Belt, Agile Scrum Master, Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ), Certified HEDIS Compliance Auditor (CHCA) (current or former), and/or Kaizen certification.
• Strong business acumen with polished verbal and written professional communication skills.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree in Public Health, Health Administration, Business Administration or related field preferred.

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$54,300.00 - $145,860.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
