We are seeking a Low Voltage & Cabling SME Lead to serve as the senior field leader for low-voltage infrastructure, structured cabling, fiber, telecom, controls integration, and operational technology readiness for assigned campuses, buildings, or systems.
This role provides hands-on leadership for critical digital infrastructure and controls scopes while coaching LV, controls, and cabling teams to improve installation quality, integration readiness, interoperability, startup execution, and operational reliability.
The Low Voltage & Cabling SME Lead acts as the connection point between the Digital LV Infrastructure & Controls Director and field controls, cabling, commissioning, startup, vendor, IT, and operations teams to ensure consistent standards, startup readiness, and integrated systems performance.
Onsite in Port Washington, WI preferred; otherwise, willing to travel 75%+
Internal Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Lead assigned low-voltage infrastructure, cabling, and controls integration scopes onsite
- Support structured cabling, fiber infrastructure, telecom, and communications systems coordination
- Validate pathway coordination, routing conditions, and installation quality
- Support BMS/EPMS integration readiness and controls interoperability
- Coordinate functional testing, sequence validation, startup readiness, and turnover activities
- Identify, escalate, and drive resolution of integration, cabling, and controls issues
- Support fiber testing, certification, QA/QC audits, and documentation completeness
- Coordinate with construction, commissioning, startup, controls vendors, IT, and operations teams
- Reinforce digital infrastructure, controls integration, and startup standards across teams
- Support startup flow optimization for integrated digital systems
- Coach and mentor LV infrastructure, cabling, and controls personnel onsite
- Identify recurring integration or quality issues and drive corrective action
- Support onsite priorities established by the Digital LV Infrastructure & Controls Director
Required Skills and Experience
- Strong experience in low-voltage infrastructure, structured cabling, fiber, telecom, controls, or data center infrastructure delivery
- Knowledge of LV cabling systems, fiber testing/certification, telecom infrastructure, pathways, and routing coordination
- Experience supporting BMS, EPMS, controls integration, operational technology, or mission-critical facility systems
- Understanding of functional testing, sequence validation, startup readiness, and turnover processes
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, cabling plans, controls documentation, test reports, and turnover packages
- Strong understanding of installation quality, deficiency management, and integration issue resolution
- Proven ability to coordinate vendors, contractors, commissioning teams, IT, controls teams, and operations stakeholders
- Strong field leadership, communication, and escalation skills
- Ability to identify risks early and drive issues to closure

Expected onsite engagement includes:
