The Naval Systems & Sustainment Directorate is seeking a highly experienced and strategic leader to serve as the CIWS Execution & Integration Director. This preferred location is Louisville, KY, but consideration will be given to our other sites in Chesapeake, VA, Tucson, AZ, Huntsville, AL, McKinney, TX, Tewksbury or Marlborough, MA. This position will report directly to the CIWS Portfolio Director. The Execution & Integration Director will provide overarching leadership for the CIWS execution of the production & spares portfolios, driving strategic decisions, operational excellence, and program growth.
This role will also include the accountability for CIWS profit and loss, EAC authority, and margin expansion to our AOP. Furthermore, they will be the subject matter expert supporting transition to production efforts, risk management, gate reviews, product affordability, proposal development and contract negotiations. They will serve as a key leader, both internally and externally, ensuring seamless collaboration across functional teams and cultivating strong, trust-based relationships with U.S. Navy and international Leadership internally & externally.
The Execution Director will define and execute the strategic direction of the production and spares programs, ensuring alignment with business objectives while fostering innovation, risk management, and operational excellence. This role will require a visionary mindset, decisive leadership, and the ability to influence at the highest levels across the organization.

Strategic Leadership: Drive the overall strategic direction of the CIWS production programs, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and long-term growth plans.

Execution Excellence: Lead the flawless execution of production efforts, meeting or exceeding all contract deliverables, performance metrics, and customer expectations.

Enterprise Collaboration: Partner with senior leaders across supply chain, operations, engineering, contracts, and finance to deliver on AOP commitments and margin expansion.

Customer Engagement: Serve as the primary executive interface with domestic and international program managers, fostering trust and ensuring alignment on program objectives.

Program Growth: Develop and execute growth strategies for domestic, international, and internal opportunities, ensuring the long-term success of the CIWS production portfolio.

Financial Accountability: Oversee P&L responsibilities, including EAC authority, cost containment, and margin improvement initiatives.

Risk Management: Lead risk identification, mitigation, and escalation processes to ensure program stability and success.

Mentorship and Team Development: Build and cultivate a high-performing team by mentoring and developing future leaders within the organization.

Qualifications You Must Have:

Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 14 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 12 years’ experience

Prior experience in program/project management with a history of leading large, complex government programs.

Prior experience with EACs (Estimates at Complete)

Prior leadership/management experience
Qualifications We Prefer:

Extensive experience with U.S. Navy, NAVSEA, and/or international defense customers.

Prior leadership experience in production environments with direct responsibility for P&L.

Certification in EVMS and program management (e.g., PMP).

Strong financial acumen, including experience with AOP development and execution.

Proven ability to drive large-scale program growth and manage international contracts.

The salary range for this role is 186,200 USD - 353,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
