Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone orthopaedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. DePuy Synthes is recruiting for anImport/Export Operations Specialist,locatedin Leeds, West Yorkshire, United Kingdom.
The Import/Export Operations Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the compliant,timely, and cost‑effective movement of DePuy Synthes products across international borders. This position supports global supply chain continuity by managing customs processes, trade documentation, and regulatory requirements for imports and exports. The role offers the opportunity to work in a highly regulated, fast‑paced medical device environment where accuracy, partnership, and operational excellence directlyimpactpatient care and business performance.
Prepare, review, andmaintainaccuratetrade documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and customs declarations.
Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and internal stakeholders to resolve shipment issues, delays, or discrepancies.
Ensure adherence to UK, EU, and global customs laws, trade compliance requirements, and DePuy Synthes internal standards.
Monitor and support customs clearance activities, including tariff classification, valuation, and duty management.
Partner with supply chain, procurement, quality, and finance teams to support efficient cross‑border material flows.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, International Business, ora relatedfield (required).
Certifications:Customs or trade compliance certifications (e.g., CILT, IATA, or equivalent) are preferred but notrequired.
