NOW HIRING: PRN Occupational Therapist – Weekend Coverage Needed!
Sharon Lane Health Care and Rehabilitation in Shawnee, KS is seeking a PRN Occupational Therapist to join our IN-HOUSE therapy team with an immediate need for weekend coverage.
This role is ideal for an OT looking for flexible PRN hours while making a meaningful impact in a skilled nursing and rehabilitation setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy evaluations and individualized treatment plans
- Deliver skilled therapy interventions to improve resident independence and daily functioning
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members regarding resident care and discharge planning
- Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants, students, and support staff as appropriate
- Maintain accurate documentation and timely billing records
- Educate residents, caregivers, and staff on treatment plans and safety recommendations
- Recommend adaptive equipment and durable medical equipment to support resident independence
- Participate in care conferences and communicate changes in resident condition
Qualifications:
- Current, active Occupational Therapy license required
- Experience in skilled nursing, post-acute, or long-term care preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and time management skills
- Knowledge of current occupational therapy standards and regulations
