Description of Role
We are seeking a STEAM Teacher who will be responsible for developing and delivering an engaging, interdisciplinary curriculum in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics for students in grades K–12. This role integrates hands-on, inquiry-based learning with Jewish values, fostering creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. The teacher collaborates with both general and Judaic studies faculty to create meaningful connections between STEAM subjects and Jewish learning. The STEAM teacher will join our team of excellent educators. The STEAM teacher will collaborate with teachers, students, and administrators on and report directly to the Lower and Middle School Principal.
This will be a full-time position.Starting: August 2026
Salary: $47,500 or commensurate with experience
Key Responsibilities:
Curriculum Development & Instruction
- Design and implement a comprehensive K–12 STEAM curriculum aligned with academic standards and school mission
- Deliver differentiated, project-based lessons that promote innovation and real-world application
- Incorporate coding, robotics, engineering design, digital tools, and creative arts into instruction
- Foster a classroom environment that encourages curiosity, experimentation, and resilience
- Support diverse learners with differentiated instruction and inclusive practices
- Guide Upper School students in planning, designing, and executing the yearbook
Collaboration & Personal Growth
- Work closely with faculty across grade levels and disciplines
- Participate in professional development and stay current with STEAM education trends
- Communicate effectively with parents and school leadership regarding student progress
Learning Environment & Resources
- Manage and maintain STEAM lab, makerspace, and related materials
- Ensure safe and responsible use of tools, equipment, and technology
Qualifications:
- Education degree
- STEM/STEAM field certification
- Master's degree (preferred)
- Teaching license (preferred)

Working Conditions and Physical Demands
Physical demands include dexterity for office machine/supply operation, including but not limited to computers, telephones, copy machines, facsimiles, and printers. Stooping, bending, reaching for files or supplies, and sitting or standing for extended periods are common.
