The Role
We are seeking a Staff Technical Program Manager (TPM) – Vendor Management & Supply Chain to lead supplier execution across next-generation vehicle, compute, sensor, and software platforms.
In this role, you will manage a complex ecosystem of strategic partners supporting autonomous vehicle and software-defined vehicle (SDV) development, ensuring alignment across hardware, embedded software, platform infrastructure, and vehicle integration milestones.
You will operate at the center of Vehicle Engineering, Compute & Sensor Hardware, Embedded Software, Supply Chain, Purchasing, and AV Platform Development – driving execution from early concept through production launch.
Your impact will be critical in scaling future autonomous and connected platforms by ensuring supplier deliverables, technical dependencies, and integration activities are aligned to program milestones, quality targets, and launch readiness.
What You’ll Do

Lead end-to-end execution across strategic suppliers supporting vehicle platforms, AV systems, and SDV programs

Own supplier timelines, technical dependencies, risks, and escalation paths across hardware, software, and infrastructure

Ensure supplier deliverables align with engineering milestones, validation gates, and production readiness targets

Drive operating rigor through supplier reviews, performance tracking, and structured issue resolution

Manage escalations, recovery plans, and executive communications to keep programs on track

Track supplier performance across schedule, quality, integration readiness, and cost

Coordinate onboarding, development milestones, validation readiness, and engineering change management

Partner with Purchasing and Supply Chain to inform sourcing strategies, mitigate risk, and enable platform scalability
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)

15+ years leading complex technical programs, supplier management, or systems engineering initiatives
-
Proven experience managing strategic suppliers in automotive, aerospace, robotics, or distributed systems environments
-
Strong understanding of embedded systems, compute platforms, vehicle E/E architecture, and software platforms
-
Demonstrated success driving hardware-software integration with external vendors and cross-functional teams
-
Expertise in managing dependencies, schedule risk, and technical escalations
-
Experience partnering with Purchasing, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Engineering organizations
-
Deep understanding of product development lifecycles, validation, and production launch readiness
-
Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills
-
Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, ambiguous, and highly technical environments
What will give you a competitive edge (Preferred Qualifications)

Experience supporting Autonomous Vehicle (AV) or Software Defined Vehicle (SDV) programs

Background managing suppliers across compute platforms, sensors, networking, or embedded systems

Familiarity with AV software pipelines, CI/CD, and release management processes

Experience with hardware bring-up, validation labs, HIL environments, or system integration testing

Exposure to sensor stack integration (camera, radar, lidar)

Experience managing global supplier ecosystems and complex escalations

Background in diagnostics, middleware, firmware, or platform infrastructure

Experience supporting advanced driver assistance or autonomy deployments (L2+/L3)
Compensation: The compensation information is a good faith estimate only. It is based on what a successful applicant might be paid in accordance with applicable state laws. The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position, as well as geography of the selected candidate.

The salary range for this role is $159,400 - $245,000. The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.

Company Vehicle: Upon successful completion of a motor vehicle report review, you will be eligible to participate in a company vehicle evaluation program, through which you will be assigned a General Motors vehicle to drive and evaluate.
