Our NORAD Operations Group
Selected by the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center’s Strategic Warning and Surveillance Systems Division for Operations, Maintenance, and Sustainment (OM&S) of critical mission systems for the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) Cheyenne Mountain Complex (NCMC), we support the Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract II (NISSC II).
Since 2020, through the (ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract II (NISSC II), has provided:
- Operations, maintenance, and Sustainment of current and legacy systems for the surveillance and cataloging of manmade objects in space.
- Mitigation of orbital conflicts.
- Threat warnings and control from airborne, land-based, and space-based systems for threat activities.
- Operations and maintenance of classified communications.
- Software development and integration.
NISSC II supports the classified communications and processing for Command and Control (C2) capability and legacy space C2 systems located at:
- Cheyenne Mountain Space Force Station (CMSFS), Colorado
- Peterson Space Force Base (PSFB), Colorado
- Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska
- Vandenberg Space Force Base, California
- Numerous sensor and forward operator sites around the world
Description of Duties:
The Assistant Facility Officersupports North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) on the Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract II (NISSC II). The candidate will:
- This role works directly with the Facility Security Officer (FSO) to ensure full compliance with the National Industrial Security Program (NISP) and contract specific security requirements.
- The AFSO plays a key role in safeguarding classified information, managing personnel security actions, supporting facility accreditation, and maintaining secure operations of the facility.
- Assist the FSO in implementing and maintaining the facility's security program in accordance with NISPOM, DoD instruction, and company policies.
- Assist the FSO in the development of quarterly training and keep documentation of training rosters.
- Support personnel security clearance processing, tracking, and record keeping. Conduct security briefings and debriefings.
- Assist with self-inspections, audits, and preparation for DCSA assessments.
- Maintain classified document control and accountability.
- Investigate and report security violations, suspicious contacts, and potential insider threat indicators.
- Support the development and enforcement of security policies and procedures.
- Serve as the point of contact for security-related matters in the FSO's absence.
- Assist with Access Control and Intrusion Detection Systems.
- Assist with badging and conduct badging system audits.
- Assist with physical security requirements for Open Storage and Restricted Areas.
- Assist the FSO with maintaining internal security database and ensure information is accurate and up to date.
- Process and track incoming/outgoing visit requests. Assist in creation and management of DD254s for prime and subcontractor relationships.
This position is expected to pay $95,000-$120,000 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
This position will be filled and work onsite at Colorado Springs, CO.

Basic Requirements:
- U.S. citizenship with active Top Secret security clearance (Ability to obtain SCI eligibility).
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years of demonstrated experience in industrial security or related field.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Working knowledge of 32 CFR Part 117 (NISPOM Rule), classified information handling, and secure facility operations.
- Proficiency with security management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience using DISS, NISS, NBIS, or similar government security systems.
- Experience with stand forms used by the government and industry facilities (SF-86, SF-312, SF700, SF702).
- Familiar with creation and management of DD254s.
- Provide after-hours or emergency support as needed.
- Complete the FSO Program Management for Possessing Facilities training with in first year of employment (will be required within one year of employment).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with employees, leadership, and government customers.
- Bachelor's degree in related field from an accredited institution in addition to relevant experience.

Compensation Details:
$95,000 to $120,000
