Qualifications & Experience
- Advanced degree in epidemiology field of study, preferable MPH (Master of Public Health) or Doctorate in Epidemiology.
- In addition, 3-5 years of experience in epidemiology analyses and Oncology research

Working knowledge of statistical analysis software tools (e.g. SAS, SPSS or STATA).
- Fully proficient in software applications such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, while experience with VBA, SQL Server, or Tableau a plus.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills. Such skills may be obtained through a degree in mathematics, finance, economics, physics, epidemiology, or statistics and/or through heavily quantitative work experience of at least five years.
- Strong oncology research background with experience conducting literature reviews
- Excellent organization and problem-solving skills

Experience with quantitative epidemiological and scientific analysis.

Medical or Pharmacy background & prior pharmaceutical industry experience a plus.

Experience building patient flow models in oncology a plus

Internal Responsibilities
- Devise and evaluate methods and procedures for collection and analysis of epidemiology research.
- Candidate is expected to have experience and working knowledgeable of diagnostic and procedure codes. Candidate is also expected to have experience conducting scientific literature review.
- Keen ability to understand and make sense of data and how to appropriately use it in calculations, including patient flow calculations.
- Develop advanced quantitative epidemiological models from published and/or registry data, resulting in an estimation of potential patient populations within specific indications / diseases, by relevant segments. Models need to be adaptable and may require functionality to allow users to adjust input values and easily see summary views.
- Update and maintain the data tables and all supporting information into the database that is the foundation for Oracle Life Science’s CancerMPact Patient Metrics
- Assess impact of future clinical, environmental or market changes on patient populations.
- Prepare reports of findings, illustrating data graphically and translating complex findings into written text.
- Handles real time client issues regarding the client's access to the CancerMPact (such as how to access) along with client inquiries into the reported numbers and associated methodologies. Provides support to clients daily and may occasionally include travel to clients.
- Be an active, willing, and cooperative partner with other members of the project teams.
- Assist clients and colleagues in understanding the market implications of patient population estimates.
- Assist and interface with clients and other internal personnel, especially in presenting the results of the epidemiological analysis.
- Provide ongoing input to improve the epidemiology consulting service.
- Lead with proactive pursuit of additional epidemiology related project work and other business development activities.
- Work under direction of senior members of the Oncology Epidemiology Group
- Manage multiple engagements, balancing client expectations, workload, and timelines
