What you´ll do
- The Blender Operator is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the liquid process operation.
- He/she will coordinate mixing activity and processes as directed by the Blending Team Manager and is responsible for the safety and quality in Liquid Process.
- Oversee the Sanitization Program including but not limited to
- Knowledge of chemical and steam sanitization processes
- Deliverance of steam through the system to mixers and storage tanks
- Maintenance and preparation of sanitization totes Coordination of sanitization between Packaging and Blending
- Operators o Ensure the safe handling of all chemicals in compliance with OSHA standards
- Ensure the proper and safe cleanup or reporting of spills.
- Ensure the proper operation of the hot and cold R.O. water system to include monitoring of regeneration times start to finish as needed
- Operational knowledge of all quality testing to include pH testing.
- Hardness testing of soft water unit and soft water storage tanks.
- Perform analytical testing on finished product when needed.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of the fluid flow from raw material storage tanks or day tanks to mixers and premixers and fluid flow from mixers to packaging storage tanks.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of the waste water system to include the drains and pits associated with this system.
- Check and record permeate water COD samples as needed.
- Proper operation of all mixers and equipment.
- Recording and maintenance of shift forms and logbooks.
- Use proper methods for reporting broken or leaking equipment to management and supervision.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of all formulations.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of the non-bulk storage area.
- Maintain the stock level and record lot numbers of non-bulk and bulk raw materials in the process.
- Perform troubleshooting for equipment and batches.
