Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Equipment Mechanic to join our team. This role is responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on a wide range of equipment and trucks, both in the shop and out in the field. The ideal candidate is highly organized, mechanically versatile, and excels at diagnosing and solving complex equipment issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, trucks, and small engine machinery
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues across a diverse fleet
- Conduct on-site service calls as well as in-shop repairs
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date service and maintenance records
- Order parts, manage inventory, and ensure timely procurement of necessary components
- Develop and maintain organized maintenance systems and schedules
- Supervise and support lower-level mechanics or shop personnel
- Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a heavy equipment or diesel mechanic
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills across a range of equipment types
- Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and small engines
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Experience with maintenance tracking systems or recordkeeping
- Prior experience supervising or mentoring junior staff is preferred
- Valid driver’s license (CDL a plus)

Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
