Job Summary and Qualifications
We are seeking a FNS Assistant to join our Food Services team. You would perform a variety of food services for the patients. You would also perform cleaning and dish room duties as well as other related cleaning tasks. You would join a team that cares like family and always works in a collaborative manner.
In this role you will:
- Prepare various foods and beverages for patients.
- Always prepare and portion foods following established guidelines, recipes, and production sheets.
- Consistently cover, label, and date foods and stores them properly according to procedures.
- Follow proper food handling techniques (gloves, handwashing, hair covering, no eating on the job, etc.)
- Always prepare and set up food and supplies in sufficient quantity to cover service requirements. Restock as needed.
- Always check daily menu needs and complete advance preparation for the next day.
- Help to reduce cost by minimizing waste and over production.
- Act in a cost conscious manner by utilizing leftovers appropriately.
- Promptly report food shortages, outdated items or any products received in an unacceptable condition.
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Some kitchen experience is desirable
