Facilities Engineer Role Overview
The Facilities Engineer is responsible for maintaining the safety, reliability, and performance of building systems and infrastructure. This role focuses on ensuring efficient operations through proactive maintenance, system optimization, and effective project management.
Key Responsibilities
The Facilities Engineer acts as the client’s representative in the design, maintenance, and optimization of facility systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and structural components. Core responsibilities include:
- Planning, organizing, and supervising routine and preventive maintenance activities to maximize system performance and reliability.
- Managing construction, renovation, and upgrade projects, working closely with architects, contractors, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Performing system assessments and diagnosing issues across mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to ensure timely resolution.
- Driving energy efficiency initiatives and optimizing resource usage to lower operational costs.
- Ensuring adherence to all applicable health, safety, environmental regulations, building codes, and company standards.
- Coordinating with vendors and contractors for specialized services, maintenance, and system enhancements.

The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.
The compensation for the position is: $59.50 - $70.00
