WWGS PB APAC team manages “byAmazon” and Whole Foods Market Exclusive brands including “365”. We lead the growth of our Food PB assortment. We develop and execute the food PB expansion and growth strategy to support broader Grocery efforts across Core Consumables, Amazon Fresh, Quick Commerce, and Sub-Same Day Grocery by working across multiple channels and partner teams.

Key job responsibilities
WWGS PB APAC team is looking for a talented Responsible Sourcing Manager for Sustainability including Social Responsibility. The successful candidate is able to thrive in an ambiguous and fast-paced environment and could effectively communicate with various stakeholders to resolve challenges. They could also show excellent judgment and instincts in decision making and could proactively and continually improve the level of knowledge about Amazon’s business, its platform, and relevant technologies.
The position is primarily responsible for (1) creating efficient processes and systems to drive Amazon’s Supply Chain Standards for responsible sourcing (2) end to end manage all supplier base, driving resolution of alerts (3) building vendor capabilities for more efficient sourcing. The Responsible Sourcing Manager should have direct experience with responsible supply chain management and an ability work cross functionally with sourcing managers, commercialization and development teams, WW Central Sustainability team, and other supply chain professionals within our rapidly growing and evolving business.
A day in the life
1. Ensure that vendors understand and adhere to Amazon’s Supply Chain Standards, including ensuring that all active factories have an active, approved SR audit
2. Support and manage remediation of human rights risks, including the former S-team goal to remediate all Alert-level findings
3. Own supplier performance improvement on human rights through SR’s performance scoring framework – this includes setting goals for score improvement, working with vendors to enroll in programs addressing human rights risk areas, and integrating SR performance scoring into business processes
4. Partner with SR to develop and advise business teams on key SR issues that might impact sourcing or production plans, and provide appropriate mitigation recommendations
5. This position requires to speak directly with suppliers to support them on the SR issue (alert), which requires the capability of both Japanese and English language (both verbal and written communication)
