Doctors Hospital of Augusta is seeking a compassionate and skilled PRN Occupational Therapist to join our Acute Care Rehabilitation team. In this role, you'll help hospitalized patients regain independence, improve functional performance, and safely transition to the next phase of care.

The Occupational Therapist evaluates, plans, and implements individualized treatment programs for patients experiencing physical, cognitive, and functional limitations. The OT collaborates with physicians, nursing staff, case management, and rehabilitation team members to support safe patient progression and discharge planning.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and treat acute care patients with a variety of diagnoses and medical complexities.
- Develop individualized treatment plans focused on functional independence and patient goals.
- Assess activities of daily living (ADLs), mobility, cognition, upper extremity function, and discharge needs.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, safety, adaptive equipment, and home recommendations.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes.
- Complete timely and accurate documentation in accordance with hospital standards.
- Participate in discharge planning and care coordination activities.
