Job Summary and Qualifications
In this role, you will provide strategic employee relations and human resources support at HCA Healthcare Mission Hospital. You will partner closely with leaders and employees to foster a positive workplace culture, promote employee engagement, ensure consistent application of policies and practices, and mitigate organizational risk. You will work collaboratively with HR leadership and Centers of Excellence to influence a productive, compliant, and high-performing workforce.
What you will do in this role:
- Partner with leaders to understand workforce needs and develop people strategies that support business objectives.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to managers on employee relations matters, including performance management, corrective action, policy interpretation, workplace conduct, and conflict resolution.
- Conduct and support employee relations investigations involving workplace concerns, policy violations, harassment, discrimination, ethics, and compliance issues.
- Analyze employee relations trends and provide recommendations to reduce risk, improve engagement, and enhance retention.
- Coach leaders on handling complex employee situations while ensuring fair, consistent, and legally compliant practices.
- Support conflict resolution efforts through mediation, consultation, and problem-solving with leaders and employees.
- Partner with the VP of HR and Labor Relations Center of Excellence (COE) to address labor and employee relations matters.
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation related to investigations, corrective actions, and employee relations cases.
- Provide observations and insights regarding departmental culture, employee engagement, turnover, and organizational effectiveness to help develop targeted initiatives.
- Identify trends in employee complaints, turnover, absenteeism, and workplace concerns and recommend proactive solutions.
- Support employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and action planning efforts based on employee feedback and survey results.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and employment regulations.
- Partner with facility leadership to drive accountability, consistency, and a positive workplace culture across departments.
What you should have for this role:
- Bachelor’s degree, required.
- 3 or more years of relevant work experience
- 1 or more of those years experience must be in a HR department
