About the Unit
4 North is a fast-paced Medical Surgical unit caring for a diverse adult patient population. Our team provides comprehensive, patient-centered care while collaborating closely with physicians, therapists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals. This unit offers an excellent environment for both experienced Med/Surg nurses and nurses looking to further develop their clinical skills.
Position Summary
As a Registered Nurse on the 4 North Med/Surg Unit, you will coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered nursing care. You will assess patient conditions, develop and implement individualized care plans, educate patients and families, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
What You Will Do
- Assess, monitor, and evaluate patients' physical and emotional conditions.
- Develop, implement, and modify individualized nursing care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and hospital policies.
- Coordinate care with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, and support staff.
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Respond appropriately to changes in patient condition and escalate concerns as needed.
- Promote a culture of safety, quality, and patient satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Georgia or compact state licensure.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Preferred
- BSN degree.
- Previous Medical Surgical, Acute Care, Progressive Care, or Hospital Nursing experience.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and critical-thinking skills.
