Job Summary and Qualifications
Seeking an experienced HIM Technician I to join our dynamic team of healthcare professionals. In this role you will assume responsibility for health and medical record information. - You will be responsible for, but not limited to, Discharge Management, Assembly and Prepping/ Scanning and Document Identification, Record Analysis, ER and Clinical Record Processing
- You will provide Secondary Analysis/Suspension, Chart Retrieval, Transcription Processing, Loose Filing/Chart Filing and Birth Certificate Processing
- You will have tasks that will require skills based on knowledge of record content, medical terminology, Meditech System and record requirement as mandated by Medical Staff Rules, State and Federal Regulatory Agencies, and Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organization standards
What qualifications you will need:
- High School diploma or GED
- Prior medical record experience preferred, but not required
- Working knowledge of medical terminology desired
- Possess quality customer service skills
