Design, build, test, troubleshoot, and maintain software components and services for CDeX.
Contribute to healthcare data-exchange capabilities, including payer-provider integrations, member and provider identity, eligibility, claims-related workflows, and clinical or administrative data exchange.
Implement cloud-native services, APIs, and data integrations under the guidance of senior engineers and technical leads.
Participate in code reviews, design discussions, sprint planning, and production-support activities.
Diagnose defects and performance issues; deliver well-tested fixes and incremental improvements.
Write maintainable, secure, and observable code using established engineering standards.
Collaborate with product, quality, operations, and engineering teams to clarify requirements and deliver features.
Build familiarity with healthcare interoperability concepts, payer workflows, and data-integration standards.
Use approved AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity, testing, documentation, and troubleshooting.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
0–2+ years of software engineering experience, including internships, academic projects, or professional development experience.
Foundational programming ability in Java, Python, or similar object-oriented languages.
Understanding of software development fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, testing, debugging, and version control.
Familiarity with SQL, relational databases, and data-modeling concepts.
Exposure to cloud technologies, APIs, microservices, or distributed systems through coursework, projects, or professional experience.
Ability to work collaboratively, learn quickly, communicate clearly, and take ownership of assigned deliverables.
Experience or coursework involving healthcare, insurance, healthcare data exchange, or other regulated industries.
Exposure to healthcare interoperability, payer-provider workflows, patient/member identity, eligibility, claims, or provider data.
Familiarity with REST APIs, event-driven systems, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms.
Knowledge of FHIR, HL7, X12/EDI, APIs, or other healthcare data-exchange standards.
Experience using AI-assisted development workflows, LLMs, or automation tools.
Interest in intelligent interoperability workflows, data quality, matching, routing, and healthcare automation.
