Job Summary and Qualifications
We are a multispecialty ASC operating Monday – Friday. Office hours are 6:00a until 4:00p.
Shift hours are 7:30a – 4:00p with a 30-minute lunch break.
As a Payment Poster, you will be an important part of the business office team. You will be responsible for posting, reconciling, adjusting, refunding and balancing of cash and daily payments.
What you will do in this role:
- You will post all payments and adjustments daily
- You will contact payer and initiate requests for payment and refunds for overpayment
- You will enter refunds in the AdvantX system in a timely manner
- You will prepare refund request forms when applicable and submit to BOM/AP
- You will perform weekly allocations of deposits to ensure accurate reporting of credit balances
- As a Collection Specialist, you will work aged claims.
What you will do in this role:
- Check websites or call insurances for claim status
- Write up reconsiderations and appeals
- You will be cross trained to assist in other areas of the business office including: Registration, Medical records, Scheduling & Insurance verification.
What Qualifications you will need:
- Minimum 2 years of payment posting experience
- Analytical skills to research and solve reimbursement discrepancies based on our contracts
- If you do not already have BLS certification, you will do this training within 30 days of your hire date.
