Overview
The HVAC Technician II plays a critical role in supporting a multi-building campus environment, ensuring optimal comfort and reliability across academic, residential, and athletic facilities. This position performs maintenance, repairs, and installation of HVAC and refrigeration equipment and controls, chilled water systems, boilers, and other mechanical, electrical, and building systems in accordance with client expectations and operational standards.
Pay: $34 - $38 per hour. The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on applicant’s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

- Troubleshoot, calibrate, and adjust pilots, thermostats, burners, transformers, controls, relays, heaters, elements, switches, and electrical system components
- Use common HVAC trade tools (e.g., multimeter, refrigerant gauges, charging charts, hand tools)
- Install, maintain, and repair ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment across diverse building types, including classrooms, dormitories, laboratories, and athletic facilities
- Identify maintenance risks on equipment and diagnose electrical and mechanical faults
- Perform emergency repairs promptly and efficiently
- Clean, adjust, and repair systems; perform warranty services
- Provide technical direction and on-the-job training
- Keep daily logs and records of all maintenance functions
- Ensure compliance with appliance standards and Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Comply with service standards, work instructions, and customer requirements
- Assist with customer inquiries and complete other duties as assigned
- Other assigned duties such as General Maintenance, Snow Removal, and any needs for client.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Valid, unexpired driver’s license
- HVAC license in the state, county, or city jurisdiction where work will be performed
- EPA Universal certification credentials
- Refrigeration/HVAC trade or vocational certification
- Minimum of three (3) years of HVAC experience
Preferred Skills
- Experience supporting educational or institutional facilities is a plus
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
