Role Overview
Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a Shop Floor/Production Controller to support manufacturing operations in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania. In this role, you will help keep production moving by tracking work-in-progress, coordinating priorities, identifying roadblocks, and providing status updates across multiple teams. Your work will help ensure hardware moves efficiently through the manufacturing process and reaches the next customer, operation, or inventory location on schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Track and manage work-in-progress from hardware receipt through completion and delivery.
- Support execution of daily and weekly production plans.
- Help ensure manufacturing teams are focused on the highest-priority work.
- Provide production status updates and hardware progress reports to leadership and support organizations.
- Coordinate support needed to resolve production holds and manufacturing issues.
- Work with manufacturing, engineering, quality, planning, and leadership teams to remove obstacles impacting schedule or throughput.
- Perform forward-looking analysis to identify and address potential production risks before they affect operations.
- Participate in process improvement and operational excellence initiatives.
- Monitor and help reduce idle jobs and stalled work orders.
- Maintain awareness of both system status and physical hardware location on the production floor.

- Combination of shop-floor presence and computer-based production tracking.
- Requires regular walking, standing, and movement throughout the manufacturing area.

Basic Qualifications
To be considered, candidates must meet all requirements listed:
- Experience working in a manufacturing, production, operations, or shop-floor environment.
- Experience tracking, coordinating, or managing work orders, production schedules, inventory, hardware, or work-in-progress (WIP).
- Ability to communicate effectively with production personnel, engineering, quality, planning, and leadership teams.
- Experience using computer systems or business tools to track production status, schedules, and operational metrics.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role, including standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and lifting or carrying up to 50 pounds.
Desired Skills
Nice-to-have skills that strengthen candidacy but are not required:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience using SAP or other manufacturing and production tracking systems.
- Experience supporting process improvement or continuous improvement initiatives.
- Familiarity with manufacturing, aerospace, defense, or high-reliability production environments.
- Experience working with environmental, safety, health, or regulatory requirements.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $81500.00 - $151300.00

- Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.
- For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
