Job Description Join BAE Systems Space & Mission Systems (SMS) as a Master Program Planner Principal. In this high-impact leadership role, you will be the strategic architect of multi-year execution plans for cutting-edge Aerospace and Defense products. You will not only manage the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) but will serve as a critical consultant to management, ensuring our technical milestones align with organizational objectives and customer deliverables.

What You’ll Do: - Strategic Planning & Leadership:
- Architect the Program Roadmap: Translate complex program contracts, statements of work, and flow-down requirements into actionable, multi-year execution plans.
- Drive Baseline Excellence: Lead the development and implementation of program baselines, ensuring full alignment with internal standards and external customer requirements.
- Strategic Advisory: Partner with the Strategic Business Unit (SBU) to align program operations with long-term business objectives and support the Program Management Office in exceeding business targets.
- Advanced Schedule Analysis & Control:
- Critical Path Mastery: Provide expert-level primary and secondary critical path analysis, variance-to-baseline reporting, and proactive look-ahead forecasting.
- EVM Leadership: Apply deep expertise in Earned Value Management (EVM) and Schedule/Cost control to maintain program health.
- IBR Subject Matter Expertise: Lead the scheduling efforts for Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBR) and serve as the scheduling SME across a portfolio of programs.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Integrated Execution: Partner with Control Account Managers (CAMs), IPT Leads, and Engineering teams to synchronize resource needs and ensure the IMS reflects real-time technical progress.
- Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify programmatic problems and develop recovery schedules or "what-if" scenarios to mitigate funding constraints and program impacts.
- Supply Chain Integration: Collaborate with material planning groups to integrate subcontractor and material requirements seamlessly into the program timeline.
- Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
- Perform other duties as necessary.
On-Site Work Environment: This position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site three or more days each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between company campuses and other possible non-company locations may be required.
Working Conditions: - Work is performed in an office environment, laboratory, cleanroom, or production floor.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills - Bachelor’s degree plus 6 or more years related experience.
- Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master’s Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
- Professional experience in program planning or scheduling.
- Proven ability to present complex data to senior external personnel and internal leadership.
- A proactive, initiative-driven approach with a track record of coordinating group initiatives to completion.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Project and Excel, along with the broader MS Office Suite.
- Demonstrated expertise in EVM, Critical Path Method (CPM), and formal change control processes.

Pay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $101398 - $172377

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
