Job Summary and Qualifications
As a Lead Telemetry Technician, you'll play a critical role in delivering safe, high-quality care by continuously monitoring cardiac rhythms and alerting the care team when action is needed. As a trusted expert and mentor, you’ll help train and guide others – building confidence, strengthening skills, and supporting a team that’s committed to improving human life – one heartbeat at a time.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Monitoring, interpreting, and documenting cardiac rhythms, and alerting nurses immediately to changes that may impact patient care
- Managing telemetry setup, lead placement, equipment upkeep, and inventory to ensure continuous, accurate monitoring
- Preparing and analyzing rhythm strips, updating logs, and maintaining patient monitoring records in line with hospital policies
- Guiding and mentoring telemetry staff by leading training, onboarding, and sharing updates on new tools or processes
- Enhancing patient safety by clearly communicating changes in rhythm, alarms, or signal issues
What qualifications you will need:
- Completion of basic EKG/Arrhythmia course and successful completion of Monitor Tech examination
- Working knowledge of basic rhythms and arrhythmias.
- 2 year previous experience as CMT/Cardiac Tech or Monitor Tech
