Job Description The Operations Strategic Capabilities Unit plays a fundamental role in enabling efficient business and program execution – from strategic capital investments, industrial operations and an efficient supply chain, to state-of-the-art manufacturing and test operations and top-notch facilities management.
What You’ll Do:
- Maintain relationship with Strategic Business Unit (SBU) to understand their technology roadmap to ensure Capabilities and Capacity exists to execute Programs.
- Participate in Strategic Facilities planning efforts.
- Provide feedback/input to FPO management regarding operational needs and requirements at the facility.
- Provide succession planning, hiring, training and career development input for employees.
- Manage and improve systems and processes related to the Longmont campus as well as assure the team executes within the sustainable guidelines established within FPO.
- Manage FPO core capabilities.
- Determine priorities within the Facility are met.
- Provide strategic planning to the Facilities Operations Manager for comparison across campuses and alignment with the overall Facilities strategy.
- Collaborate with other Campus Managers to oversee initiative and processes across the campuses.
- Develop, prepare and/or track departmental budget relating to the respective campus and be accountable for overhead and operational budgets.
- Develop, and evaluate personnel (including performance appraisals) to ensure the efficient execution
- Provided input to Facilities Operations Manager to develop, design and supervise the implementation of new policies, strategies, and procedures relevant to Facilities operations
- Develop plans that meet the long-range needs of the company; provide continuous improvement to future strategic capital projects; use analytical techniques, such as SWOT analysis or scenario planning, to explore the range of possible futures and the triggers used to analyze the company’s needs.
- Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
- Perform other duties as necessary.
On-Site Work Environment: This position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site five days each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between company campuses and other possible non-company locations may be required.
Working Conditions:
- Work is performed in an office, laboratory, production floor, or cleanroom, outdoors or remote research environment.
- May occasionally work in production work centers where use of protective equipment and gear is required.
- May access other facilities in various weather conditions.
Short-Term Incentive: Subject to business performance and recommendations of management, this role may be eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills - BS/BA in related field plus 10 years or more related experience.
- Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master’s Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
- Building management, manufacturing experience, or related experience.
- An understanding of and penchant how to manage a building or campus.
- Production Planning Experience – Large project production scheduling to achieve customer delivery.
- Preventative Maintenance Planning and Management.
- Excellent team collaboration skills with a focus on detail.
- Proven interpersonal skills and the ability to work well as a team player.
- Excellent communication, presentation, listening and organizational skills, and effectively work as a team player in a fast- paced, high volume environment.
- Demonstrated work history of developing and maintaining good working relationships with staff at all levels of the organization and providing excellent detailed customer service to multiple customers.
- Proven ability to deliver creative and effective solutions, with the ability to effectively manage a high volume of campus related requests.
- Proven history of regular attendance and schedule flexibility is required for this position.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills - BS degree or higher in a building management, engineering or architectural discipline or a related technical field.
Pay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $134640 - $228888
