What You Will Be Doing
As the Quality Engineer Staff you will be responsible for leading supplier quality initiatives that safeguard mission‑critical hardware. You will partner with suppliers, supply‑chain, engineering, and operations to resolve complex quality issues and elevate supplier performance. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Lead complex supplier quality investigations and root‑cause analyses.
- Drive supplier performance improvement initiatives and corrective‑action plans. - Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies for procured components.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
- Mentor junior engineers and support continuous‑improvement efforts.

The Supplier Quality Engineer serves as a key quality interface between suppliers, Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations, Program Management, and customers. This role independently leads complex supplier quality issues, supplier performance improvement, risk mitigation, corrective action, and compliance activities to ensure procured products and services meet contractual, technical, quality, and regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will influence cross-functional teams and suppliers to prevent defects, improve performance, reduce program risk, and achieve quality, cost, schedule, and mission success objectives.
